Dear Randolph Families,
Welcome to a brand new school year at A. Philip Randolph Elementary, where our theme, Game On: One Team, One Goal, One School, reflects our commitment to collaboration, shared success, and academic excellence for every scholar.
It is a true honor to introduce myself as your new principal. My name is Brittney Burns, and I began my journey in education as a teacher at Sandtown Middle School. Joining me is our new assistant principal, Ms. Monica Carpenter, who proudly began her career with Fulton County Schools right here at Randolph. We are both elated to return to the feeder pattern where our teaching careers began, and even more honored to serve the community that helped shape who we are as educators.
This year, our focus is clear: every scholar literate, every student successful. At Randolph, we believe student achievement and strong relationships go hand in hand — and both are only possible when we work together as one team.
We’re also committed to increasing family engagement and volunteer opportunities. We encourage you to get involved and make your voice heard by joining our PTA.

As we transition into new leadership, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Your insight and partnership are essential to helping us start strong and stay aligned throughout the year.
In the coming weeks, we’ll share opportunities to meet, connect, and discuss our shared vision for Randolph. We’re looking forward to a joyful, productive, and purpose-driven year together. Game On!
With Dolphin Pride,
Brittney Burns
